Kylemore Abby and Church

We arrived too late in the day to have time to tour the gardens, but I've included several photos of the Abby and church. As noted in the main text, I visited in early March of 2005 and the area was just coming out of winter. No doubt things would much greener later in the spring and into summer.

If you look carefully along the shoreline at the right you'll see just the top of the church visible
The church as you approach from the lake area.
Although it wasn't really warm inside the church that day, there was a warmth to the color of the walls that I'm not certain the camera captured.
One of the nuns made a point to tell visitors to be sure to look at the stained glass windows. The evening sun was getting low in the sky behind the windows and so was well positioned to illuminate them for viewing.
